First a little Hunter Yachts History... Hunter Yachts has its roots in the Luhrs family and with Warren Luhrs’s avid love of sailing. Warren decided that the sailing industry could benefit from production line manufacturing and he released the premiere Hunter sailboat in 1973. Today, three separate facilities comprise the Hunter building yards: at Alachua, Florida, the Composite Technologies division in East Lyme, Connecticut, and the United Kingdom’s Luhrs Marine Limited. The Alachua facility constructs boats in the 24 to 50 foot range, while the East Lyme facility builds boats from 9 to 21 feet long, and the UK facility handles mid-size sailboat production. Hunter sailboats feature Kevlar® laminate from the stem to the keel sump, and pioneered the usage of stainless steel arches. Hunter is one of the initial recipients of hard earned and prestigeous Marine Industry Certification.

It's now the beginning of the cruising season and time to think seriously about exploring the exotic Caribbean Islands. She is ready for you! New paint and varnish. New Vetus marine diesel engine. Good strong stainless steel grab rails mounted topsides for your safety and protection. The standing rigging was changed in 1991 and includes swageless fittings all around. Deck is firm and solid to walk on. The mast is a keel stepped Kenyon of painted aluminum as is the boom. Two Lewmar #40 cockpit winches and two Lewmar #8 winches mast mounted.
